About Bronze/Patina

A Bit About Bronze / Patina:

Statement Divot Tools are milled in Bronze.  Bronze develops a natural patina through oxidation, adding character and uniqueness to every Statement Divot Tool.  Taking on a desirable patina, this darker richer finish gives our tools their distinctive and timeless appearance.  Depending on how they are used and stored, no two divot tools will look exactly the same.  During the Bronze Age (3300 B.C.) it was one of the first metals ever used to make tools.  Today its uses are many, ranging from nautical applications to fine jewelry...and now our divot tools.

Can you say "patina"? We say "bring it on"!

But for folks who prefer to reverse the patina process, here is a simple solution.

Combine:

3 teaspoons salt

1 tablespoon flour

Enough white distilled vinegar to make a paste

Scoop the paste onto a clean sponge and gently polish clean.  Rinse with hot water and buff dry with a soft cloth and a dab of olive oil.
